01Is forwarded mail delayed?
It usually arrives within seconds, close enough to direct delivery that you will not notice the difference. Time-sensitive mail such as verification codes does not expire because of the extra hop.
02Can I reply to forwarded mail directly?
You can handle it like any other message. To reply as the alias, send through it from the console — the recipient sees the alias address, and your real mailbox never appears in the reply.
03Can I forward to more than one mailbox?
Members can. One alias can forward to several targets at once, and different aliases can point at different mailboxes — work aliases to the work account, shopping aliases to the personal one. The free plan forwards to a single target.
04Does NexMask store forwarded mail?
No. Messages pass through the pipeline in memory only, and once delivered no body copy stays on our servers. We do not read, analyze or hand your mail to anyone.
05Will forwarded mail land in spam?
Rarely. The relay is set up with standard mail authentication, so it reaches the inbox in the overwhelming majority of cases. If something does get filtered, adding the forwarding address to your contacts or allowlist settles it.
06Can I turn forwarding off?
At any time, per alias — toggle forwarding for one alias or disable the alias outright. Anything sent afterward stops being delivered, and your other aliases carry on unaffected.
07How do I set up email forwarding?
Create or pick an alias in the console, enter the mailbox you want the mail to reach as its forwarding target, and save. Everything sent to that alias is delivered there from then on — nothing needs configuring inside your own mailbox.
08Can I forward to Gmail, Outlook or iCloud?
Yes. Any mailbox that can receive mail works as a target — Gmail, Outlook, iCloud, Proton, a work address. You enter the address; there is no account to connect or permission to grant.
